DATE PINWHEELS 
1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon

FILLING:

1 1/2 c. chopped dates
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. chopped pecans

In a saucepan combine dates, sugar and water. Cook over medium heat until thick, 8 minutes. Add nuts and cool. Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs. Combine flour, salt, soda and cinnamon and add.

Divide dough and roll into rectangle. Spread with filling and roll up jelly roll style. Chill overnight. Cut in 1/2 inch slices. Bake 375 degrees 12 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
