SPONGE CAKE 
5 eggs, separated
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Grated rind and juice of 1/2 lemon

Separate eggs. Beat yolks until very light adding 1/2 cup sugar. Beat whites very stiff and beat in 1/2 cup sugar. Add lemon to yolks. Add flour and baking powder to yolks. Fold flour mixture into stiffly beaten whites. I use 9 x 11 inch glass pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
