WHOLE WHEAT OATMEAL COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs or 2 tbsp. whole egg powder reconstituted with 2 2/3 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water

Cream and mix together well. Sift:

1 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix into creamed mixture. Add 3 cups oats, uncooked! Bake on greased pan at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. You may add any or all: chocolate chips, walnuts, raisins or cut up dried apricots.
