SNICKER DOODLES 
1 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. sifted self-rising flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. sugar

Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Sift flour and cream of tartar into shortening mixture, stirring well. Roll into small 1 inch balls. Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes in 400 degree F. oven.
