1 c. + 2 tbsp. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. soft butter
1 egg, beaten
6 tbsp. white sugar
6 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
1/2 c. chocolate chips & nuts

Cream together the sugar and shortening. Mix in egg, water and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients (sifted together). Add chips and nuts. Spread in a greased pan (about 11"x8") and bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes. Don't overbake. (I double this recipe and bake in 9"x13" pan.)
