COUNTRY PIE 
2 (8 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper (opt.)
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. oregano
1/3 c. Minute Rice
1 c. water
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine bread crumbs, ground beef, onion, green pepper, salt, oregano and 1/2 can tomato sauce to form crust. Line a greased pie pan with crust mixture, molding slightly above pie pan.

Then mix 1/3 cup rice with 1 cup water. Do NOT cook, simply add to 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce and 1/4 cup grated cheese and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Fill pie pan and bake covered at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with 3/4 cup remaining grated cheese. Bake 15 minutes more.
