VANILLA BUTTER CREAM ICING 
1/4 c. butter, room temp.
1 c. powdered sugar
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp. whipping cream or milk
1/2 to 1 tsp. orange extract
1 tsp. vanilla

In a small bowl, beat together butter, sugar, salt, vanilla, orange extract and cream or milk until fluffy. Tint with food colors, if desired. One cup of icing. For chocolate butter cream icing add 2 ounces melted unsweetened chocolate to icing.

This was a good icing recipe with just the right ratios of everything to make it nice and spreadable without it being too stiff or too runny. The taste was good as well. I used it to ice a strawberry cake in a 9x13-inch pan so I had to use a recipe and a half to get enough for my needs. I also just used all vanilla extract but look forward to trying the orange extract and other flavors in the future.
