TEXAS HASH 
2 med. onions, sliced
2 green peppers, chopped
1 lb. hamburg
2 c. canned tomatoes
1/4 tsp. chili powder
2/3 c. long grain rice
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper

Saute in very little fat (or cooking spray) the onions and pepper until onions are translucent. Remove to 2 quart casserole.

Saute the hamburger until it is no longer pink. Drain fat, and add meat to casserole dish. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for about 3/4 hour. Serves 6-8.
