1/2 lb. sausage
2 med. size sweet potatoes
3 med. apples
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. sausage drippings
1/2 c. cold water

Cut link sausage into 1/2 inch pieces. If bulk sausage, shape into small balls. Pare and slice potatoes and apples. Mix salt, flour, and sugar together; blend with cold water. Arrange layers of potatoes, apples, and sausage in a baking dish, pouring some of the flour and sugar mixture over each layer. Top the dish with apples and sausage and add drippings. Cover and bake at 375 degrees until tender (about 45 minutes).
