STUFFED CABBAGE (HOLUBKY) 
1 head cabbage (3 lb. size)
1 lg. can sauerkraut
1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
1/2 lb. ground pork
1 c. warm water
1 egg
1/2 med. onion, diced finely
1 c. uncooked rice
Salt & pepper to taste

Cut head of cabbage deeply around core to loosen leaves. Boil cabbage about 5 minutes. Take leaves apart and set aside to cool. Remove about 1" of rib from cabbage leaves.

Mix ingredients. Roll in cabbage leaves. Put sauerkraut in large pot, then place cabbage rolls on top of sauerkraut. Add enough water to cover. Cook slowly about 2 1/2 hours.
