SWEET MIX PICKLE 
8 1/2 qt. cucumbers after cut up
4 qt. water
1 c. salt
2 lg. head cauliflower
2 red peppers

Soak overnight. Soak 2 pounds pickling onions in enough water to cover with 1 tablespoon alum. Drain and rinse well.

Bring to boil: 1 c. vinegar 2 tbsp. turmeric

Drop cucumbers in solution and cook and stir 15 minutes, stirring continuously. Put cucumber mixture in sink fast and drain. Rinse until cool. Then pack in jars.

SYRUP:

10 c. sugar
4 c. water
5 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. pickling spices

Bring to boil. Pour over pickles and seal in hot water bath for 3 minutes.
