SPICY CRANBERRY MUFFINS 
2 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 c. chopped walnuts
2 well beaten eggs
2/3 c. milk
1/3 c. oil
1 1/2 c. fresh cranberries, chopped
1 c. whole wheat cereal flakes
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Sift dry ingredients. Stir in nuts. Combine eggs, milk and oil. Add to dry ingredients, stir until just moist. Fold in cranberries and cereal. Fill muffin pans 2/3 full. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-35 minutes. Yield 18. They freeze well.
