FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1 box white raisins
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. grape juice
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda dissolved in the juice
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. self rising flour
5 c. nuts
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1 1/2 tbsp. milk

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and milk together. Sift spices and flour, add milk and juice slowly. Cream together well, then add the nuts and fruit. Drop on greased cookie sheet by teaspoon. Bake slowly at 250 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes about 10 dozen.
