CREME CHEESE FRUIT CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 3/4 c. sugar
3 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. white wine
2 c. candied fruits
1/2 c. chopped almonds
1/3 c. shortening
6 egg whites
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. candied cherries
1/2 c. flour

Cream the cream cheese and shortening. Add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add egg whites one at a time, beating well after each. Sift together dry ingredients. Combine milk, wine and flavoring. Add sifted dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with liquid. Add 1/2 cup flour to nuts and canned fruit, then fold into cake batter. Bake in 2 well-greased loaf pans at 275 degrees for 1 hour. 2 loaves.
