NUTMEG COOKIE LOGS 
1 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. rum
3/4 c. sugar
1 unbeaten egg
3 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg

Cream butter and flavorings. Add sugar gradually. Blend in egg. Add flour and nutmeg, mixing well. Shape pieces of dough on floured surface into logs 1/2 inch in diameter by 3 inch. Bake on ungreased sheets 12 to 15 minutes in 350 degree oven until lightly browned. Cool and frost.

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. butter
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 to 3 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. rum

Mix butter, sugar and flavorings. Gradually add milk to make spreading consistency.
