WW RED BEANS WITH SAUSAGE 
1/2 tsp. olive oil
10 oz. hot Italian beef/pork sausage cut in 1/2-inch slices
1/2 tsp. olive oil
3/4 c. diced green pepper
1/2 c. onion
1 garlic clove
8 oz. rinsed red kidney beans
1/4 c. tomato sauce
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
Pinch ground red pepper
1/4 c. water

Cook sausage in oil until brown. Remove. Heat oil, green pepper, onion and garlic 3-4 minutes. Add beans, sauce, oregano, red pepper and water. Simmer 20 minutes.

Mash some beans to thicken. Add sausage; simmer 10 minutes (can add water). Yield: 4 servings (1/4 fat, 2 protein, 3/4 vegetable, 1 bread)
