6 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 qt. milk
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Beat yolks and mix with sugar. Beat egg whites just and little and mix with yolks and sugar. Beat both. Put milk on and let it almost come to a boil, take off heat and pour over other ingredients. Put this mixture in another boiler and let come to a boil. Add salt and vanilla. If this gets lumpy simply pour through a sieve and give the lumpy bits to the dogs!
