CREAM OF BROCCOLI SOUP 
6 c. water
10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
3/4 c. onion
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic
2 c. (1 lb.) cubed Velveeta cheese
2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. cold water (use this to thicken soup, is added at the end)

Boil 6 cups water. Add broccoli and onion; boil for 12 minutes. Add seasonings and cheese. Stir until cheese melts, then add milk and butter. Stir and heat until boiling. To thicken soup, mix water and flour together to make a paste. Add to hot soup and stir.
