CRUMB MIXTURE 
3/4 c. soft butter
1 c. brown sugar (well packed)
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. rolled oats

Mix butter with sugar. Add dry ingredients; then oats. Press firmly 1/2 mixture into greased pan (13 x 9 x 2 inches) spread on filling. Pat on remaining crumbs. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Cut into bars.
