PECAN PENNIE'S 
2 c. cake flour
1/8 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 egg
1/4 c. finely chopped pecans
1/4 c. butter

Sift together flour, salt and soda. Cream sugar and shortening, beat in egg thoroughly. Add dry ingredients and chopped nuts. Roll at once in small balls 1/2 inch. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-12 minutes.

Allow to set a few minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
