BUTTERHORNS (ROLLS) 
1 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 cake of yeast
2 beaten eggs

Heat milk, shortening, sugar and salt and cool to lukewarm. Add yeast and stir well, add egg, then flour. Mix to a smooth dough and knead lightly on floured surface. Place dough in greased bowl. Cover and let rise until double in size. Divide in 3 rolls and roll each third in a circle. Brush with butter, cut each circle in 12 or 16 wedges shapes pieces. Roll each wedge starting with wide end and rolling to a point. Arrange on a greased baking pan. And brush with melted butter. Let rise until double in size or nice and light. Bake in 400 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
