BUTTERMILK BISCUITS | |
3 c. plain flour 1/2 c. shortening 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tbsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar 1 1/12 c. buttermilk Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Sift flour, cut in the shortening. Mix other ingredients in the milk and add flour. Work the dough until you can form into balls. Roll out on floured surface 1/2" thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Bake for 30 minutes. |
