BUTTERY SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour

Cream butter and sugar together in mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla flavoring; beating well. Stir in flour. Divide dough into 2 equal parts. Form each half into 2 rolls about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Wrap each tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate 1-2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice rolls into about 1/8 inch thick. Arrange 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes.
