SMOTHERED STEAK 
1/2 lb. chuck or round steak, cut in strips
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 lg. onion
2 green peppers, sliced
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
2 tbsp. molasses
3 tbsp. soy sauce

Put steak, flour, salt and pepper in crock pot. Stir well to coat steak. Add all remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours (or high for 4 hours). Serve with rice.

Glad to find this slow cooked recipe not requiring a condensed soup. Family of men enjoyed the flavor enhanced by the molasses and soy. I liked the rice accompaniment!
Additionally I added garlic powder when coating the steak. It's a crockpot keeper.
