POOR MAN'S STEAK 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (best grade)
1/2 c. crushed cracker crumbs
1/2 c. cold water
1 1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Mix thoroughly and press in pan about 1 inch thick. Refrigerate overnight. Cut in squares. Dredge in flour. Fry in grease until brown on both sides. Put in roaster or baking dish. Cover with 1 can cream of mushroom soup that has been diluted with 1 can water. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300 or 350 degrees.

Note: This is very good served as sandwiches if pressed thinner.
