BEET AND ONION SALAD 
1 (29 oz.) can sliced beets, drained
1 lg. onion, sliced and separated into rings
Salt and pepper to taste
1/8 tsp. garlic salt
Pinch of oregano
2 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. wine vinegar
1/2 tsp. sugar

Put beets in a bowl. Add onion rings, salt, pepper, garlic salt, and oregano. Mix oil, vinegar, and sugar in a bottle. Shake well and drizzle over the salad. Chill in refrigerator at least 1 hour before serving.
