PRUNE CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. each soda, cinnamon and nutmeg

1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. liquid shortening

Add the flour mixture alternately with 1 cup buttermilk. Add by 1/3's starting with flour.

1 jar jr. size strained prunes (or 2 sm. jars of baby strained prunes)
1 c. nuts

Mix well. Bake in large bread pan at 370 degrees about 1 hour. Let cool.

GLAZE FOR PRUNE CAKE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. syrup
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring to hard boil, boil for 2 minutes. Pour over cake and let set until glaze cools.
