BRACH'S CHOCOLATE RAISIN AND OATMEAL COOKIES | |
1 c. butter 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. Brach's real chocolate covered raisins 1/2 c. milk 4 c. quick cooking oats 2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter and sugars in mixer bowl until fluffy. Stir lemon juice and vanilla into milk; stir into sugar mixture. Mix in combined oats, flour, baking soda, and salt. Form dough into 1 1/2 inch balls; place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten cookies with bottom of glass dipped in sugar; decorate cookies with chocolate raisins. Bake at 375 degrees until light brown, 6 to 8 minutes. Cool on wire racks. Makes about 4 dozen. Chocolate covered peanuts may be substituted for the chocolate covered raisins. |
