SHRIMP MARINARA WITH PASTA (FOR
TWO)
 
1/4 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. cooking oil
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 can (3 oz.) tomato paste
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. pepper
8 oz. cleaned med. shrimp, peeled & deveined, thawed
Cooked pasta for two

In a skillet or soup pot, cook onion, green pepper and garlic until tender. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, sugar and seasoning. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add shrimp. Cover and simmer for approximately 3 minutes longer or until shrimp are tender. Serve over cooked pasta.

The shrimp really stood out in this recipe. It was really good but I added more spices when I made it. it gave it a good twist!

i would suggest to ad some chardonnay with the shrimps to the sauce
