MAPLE PECAN BARS 
1 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. butter
1 c. maple flavored syrup
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 - 1 c. chopped pecans

In bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour with 1/3 cup brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Press mixture into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, combine remaining brown sugar with syrup in saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. In bowl, beat eggs with remaining flour, vanilla, and salt. Gradually pour hot syrup into egg mixture, stirring constantly. Pour over baked crust. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into 24 bars.
