BARBECUE SAUCE FOR CHICKEN OR
RIBS
 
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 lg. garlic clove, chopped
1/4 lb. butter
2 oz. Worcestershire sauce
1 oz. soy sauce
4 oz. Heinz or Blue Plate barbecue sauce
Juice of 2 lemons
2 c. catsup
4 tbsp. barbecue seasoning
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
2 c. water

Place onion, garlic and butter in large saucepan; cook for 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly. Continue to stir while cooking on medium heat for 1 minute. Turn to simmer and let cook for 1/2 hour. Makes enough for 5-7 chickens. Yields 2 quarts.
