BUTTERMILK CHOCOLATE BROWNIES 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Mix sugar and flour together and set aside. Bring cocoa, water, and butter to a boil in a saucepan. Pour boiled mixture over sugar and flour; set aside again. In a separate mixing bowl, mix together buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Add to flour mixture. Grease and flour a 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inch pan. Pour mixture into and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done. Frost.

FROSTING:

4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 stick butter
4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring cocoa, milk, and butter to a boil. Pour mixture over powdered sugar; add vanilla. Mix well and pour over bars while they are still hot. Let frosting set for approximately 4 hours before cutting into bars.
