MARMALADE BREAD 
3 c. sifted all purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. orange marmalade
1 beaten egg
3/4 c. orange juice
1/4 c. Wesson oil or shortening
1 c. chopped pecans

Sift dry ingredients; reserve 1/2 cup of marmalade. Combine remaining 1 1/4 cups marmalade, the egg, juice and oil. Add flour mixture; stir well until moistened. Stir in nuts. Turn into greased 9 1/2" x 5" x 3" loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees or until done. Remove from pan. Place on baking sheet. Spread the top and sides with reserved marmalade. Return to oven for about 1 minute. Cool on rack.
