MEDITERRANEAN CHICKEN 
1/4 bottle cumin
Allspice to taste
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Minced onion to taste
1 pkg. chicken parts
Olive oil
1 med. onion, diced
6 cloves garlic, crushed
6 c. water
3 c. rice, uncooked
1 lemon
Almonds, slivered
Raisins

Combine cumin, allspice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and minced onion. Modify seasonings to taste. Place in a shaker bottle and sprinkle on chicken.

Cover bottom of Dutch oven with olive oil. Heat oil and add onion and garlic. Saute over medium heat until onions are transparent.

Move onions to side of pot. Add chicken and brown on all sides. (Do it in batches, if the pot is not big enough.) Return all chicken to pot, if necessary. Pour in water. Water should almost cover chicken. Boil about 15 minutes. Add uncooked rice, pushing chicken aside to make sure rice goes under it, but don't stir.
