LIME MIST SALAD 
2 (3 oz.) pkg. lime gelatin
2 c. applesauce
1 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. drained chopped maraschino cherries
2 c. lemon-lime carbonated beverage
1 c. undiluted Carnation evaporated milk
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Green food color

Combine gelatin and applesauce. Heat over low heat until gelatin dissolves; cool. Stir in celery, nuts, cherries, and lemon-lime beverage. Chill until syrupy. Chill milk in refrigerator tray until soft ice crystals form around edges. Whip until stiff. Add lemon juice and whip very stiff. Fold into gelatin mixture. Add few drops green food color. Spoon into 2 quart mold. Chill until firm. Serves 8-10.
