1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. honey
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Pour boiling water over the oatmeal and let it stand for 10 minutes. Mix brown sugar, honey, oil and eggs with the oatmeal mixture after the 10 minutes. Sift dry ingredients together; mix well with the sugar/oatmeal mixture. Pour into 9x13 cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 cube butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. nuts

Melt butter and mix with other ingredients. When cake comes out of oven, pour frosting over top and place under broiler until lightly brown, 1-2 minutes.
