AMERICAN CHOP SUEY 
1 lb. veal, ground
1 lb. pork, ground
2 tbsp. fat
2 c. water
1/3 c. green pepper, chopped
1 c. diced carrots
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped mushrooms
1 c. stewed tomatoes
1 c. sour cream (optional)
4 tbsp. flour

Brown meat in fat. Add water. Cook 15 minutes. Add vegetables, except tomatoes and mushrooms. Cook 20 minutes or until meat is tender. Add mushrooms, tomatoes and sour cream. Thicken with flour. Cook 5 minutes longer. Serve with rice or noodles. Serves 15.
