GOULASH 
1 1/2 lb. boneless beef chuck steak, cut into 3/4" cubes
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. paprika
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf

1. Shake beef, flour, salt, pepper and garlic in plastic bag until beef is coated. Mix beef and remaining ingredients in 2 quart casserole.

2. Microwave, covered, at high (100%) 5 minutes. Reduce power to medium (50%). Microwave until beef is tender and sauce is thickened, 50 minutes to 1 hour, stirring once or twice during cooking. Let stand 5-10 minutes. Serve over noodles, if desired. Makes 6-8 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
