LIMA BEAN SUPPER DISH 
3 tbsp. shortening
1 onion, chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
2 c. cooked lima beans
1 stalk celery, diced
2 c. stewed tomatoes
1 c. ground ham
1 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Saute onions and pepper 5 minutes. Add limas, celery, tomatoes and ham. Simmer, covered, 30 minutes. Mix salt, sugar and flour. Stir into cooked ingredients until thick. Serve with toasted rye bread.
