1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Mix boiling water and oatmeal; let stand while mixing the rest of ingredients. Add oatmeal mixture last. Pour into 9x13 inch greased pan. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
