PORK CHOPS WITH CORN DRESSING | |
1 (15 oz.) can cream style yellow corn Soft bread, 2 slices per chop 1/2 green pepper 1/2 sm. onion 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. sage (optional) 4 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick 1/2 stick butter, melted Water Salt and pepper, to taste Brown chops; season with salt and pepper. Place in baking dish and add small amount of water. Chop onion and green pepper into fine pieces. Break bread in a bowl and add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Cover each chop with 1/2 inch thickness of dressing. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees until chops are done and dressing is lightly browned. Cooking time will depend on thickness of chops. (Approximately half an hour for regular chops; longer for thicker ones.) |
