2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 lb. dates, chopped
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar

Cook sugar, milk and butter until firm ball stage is reached (244-248°F on candy thermometer).

Add dates while beating. Add nuts when almost stiff. Knead on confectioners' sugar until stiff. Form into roll and slice.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.
