LEMON MERINGUE PIE 
Meringue:

4 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice

Beat eggs, sugar and lemon juice together until stiff peaks form. Top filling of pie.

Filling:

1/2 c. lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
4 eggs yolks, beaten
3 tbsp. milk
1 baked pie shell

Combine sugar, water, and butter. Heat until sugar melts. Add cornstarch and water, and cook until clear. Add lemon juice and grated lemon peel. Slowly add egg yolks and milk. Heat to boil, cool and pour into baked pie shell.

Top with meringue and bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes.
