AUNT LUCY BANANA NUT CAKE 
1 stick butter
3 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
5 sm. ripe bananas
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour

Grease and flour tube pan. Cream sugar, butter and eggs; beat until creamy. Sift flour, salt and soda. Alternate together flour mixture and buttermilk to egg mixture. Add mashed bananas, nuts and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into tube pan and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.
