EASY DONUTS | |
1 or desired amount of canned biscuits Vegetable oil Sugar Cinnamon Icing (optional) Using a deep fryer or a large, heavy saucepan, pour in oil, about 3 cups. Heat oil. Using a top from a 2 liter bottle of soda (16 oz. will also work). Take 1 biscuit and in the center, press the bottle top down and remove center. When oil is ready, drop biscuit in oil, cook until side is golden. Flip over and cook until other side is golden. Remove biscuit from oil using a fork, place on plate with paper towels lining the bottom of plate to help soak extra oil. TOPPING: After a biscuit has cooled a little, you can use a cinnamon, sugar mixture to cover the donut, or regular granulated sugar, powdered sugar, or be creative and make an icing. |
