CHOCOLATE BRITTLE 
42 soda crackers
1 c. brown sugar
2 sticks butter
12 oz. chocolate chips
Nuts, pecan pieces, small

Line jelly roll pan (11"x15") with aluminum foil. Place about 42 soda crackers (may be more) in pan. Boil 1 cup sugar and 2 sticks butter 3 minutes then pour over crackers in the pan. Place in 400 degree oven for 8 minutes. Turn off heat. Remove pan from oven and sprinkle 12 ounces of chocolate chips over cracker and syrup base. Return to oven long enough for the chips to melt. Spread evenly and sprinkle nuts on top. Cool and set in the refrigerator long enough to set chocolate. Break into pieces.
