PIZZA DOUGH | |
1 c. lukewarm water 1 pkg. yeast 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. oil 2 c. flour Sprinkle yeast into warm water and stir until dissolved. Stir in sugar and oil. Add 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 cups flour and beat until smooth. Then knead in additional flour. (Dough should be soft like biscuit dough.) Brush with soft shortening. Cover and let rise in warm place (about 85 degrees) until dough has doubled in size (about 45 minutes). When the dough has doubled, punch down and divide in half. Put each half into a ball and place on greased pizza pan. Put in oven for 25 minutes at 400 degrees. |
