15 MINUTE BEEF STROGANOFF | |
Approximately 1 lb. leftover roast beef, sliced or 1 lb. round steak, sliced 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick 1 c. water 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms 1 envelope onion soup mix 1 c. plain yogurt 3 tbsp. flour 1 tbsp. oil (if using uncooked meat) Trim fat from meat. Cut meat across grain in strips 1/4 inch wide. Heat oil in skillet, if using uncooked meat. Otherwise, omit the oil. Brown raw meat. Add water and mushrooms (plus liquid); stir in soup mix, heat just to boiling. Blend yogurt and flour and add. Cook and stir until mixture thickens, sauce will be thin. Serve over hot noodles. 5 or 6 servings. |
