ANDREW'S FAVORITE CASSEROLE 
1 box Kraft macaroni and cheese
1 lb. hamburger
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. milk

Prepare macaroni according to box. While macaroni cooks, brown hamburger in skillet and drain. Pour macaroni into casserole, add hamburger, soup and milk; mix thoroughly. Place in oven on moderate heat and heat thoroughly, about 15 minutes.

I tried this out because I couldn't get to the market this afternoon and hadn't set out meat. Browned ground beef was a big limitation, as was the limited supply in the cabinets. I substituted cream of chicken soup since I didn't have the mushroom, doubled the mac, added half an onion to the pan with the beef, skipped the extra milk, and sprinkled it with cheese so it would be crunchy when it came out of the oven. My family absolutely LOVED it - I'll definitely make it again! Thanks for the great save :)

I also doubled the mac, but only used the 1lb of ground turkey. I sprinkled bread crumbs and shredded cheese on top (just a little) My family LOVED it! This is a great way to "spice" up the mac n cheese, and get some protein into my otherwise meatless 5 year old!
