CARAMEL ICING 
1 (1 lb.) box light brown sugar
7 1/2 tbsp. evaporated milk
1 1/2 sticks butter
3/4 tsp. baking powder

Put sugar, evaporated milk and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil 3 minutes. Remove from stove and beat in baking powder. If mixture becomes too difficult to spread, add a little additional evaporated milk.
